History of KOMA

KOMA has long been a backbone in supporting Korean Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine practitioners and their patients in the VA, MD, and District of Columbia.  From providing continuing education opportunities, keeping members involved and informed, and keeping a finger on the pulse of legislative agendas in the Capital, the Korean Oriental Medicine Association has been and will continue to be there for the Acupuncture Oriental Medicine practitioners as well as the patients who rely on these dedicated practitioners for their health and well-being.

The KOMA Vision

The vision of the Korean Oriental Medicine Association is to support the rights and practices of  Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine practitioners in the  VA, MD, and District of Columbia; to ensure that the latest techniques and procedures are brought to the practitioners to ensure current and approved practices are available to the patients; and to protect the future practices of the students and future Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine practitioners and around the United States.

The KOMA Mission
The Mission of the Korean Oriental Medicine Association shall be to enhance the availability of quality healthcare in the VA, MD, and District of Columbia and provide education and support services to its practitioner and members.

KOMA Members Benefits

KOMA serves as a resource to KOMA members around the state for information and education. The Association protects the interests of our professional members before regulatory agencies. The KOMA provides its membership with a community network of practitioners.  There are many leadership opportunities in the Association as well.  With the rapid changes in the profession at a national level and state level, it is important now more than ever to unite with other Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine Practitioners.  We hope that you will take advantage of the opportunities provided by KOMA and participate in the activities offered by the Association.
